![]() He smiles warmly and puts a hand around Jason’s shoulders. But he couldn’t deny how warm and humbled he felt that Jason was actually asking him to help him learn to draw. Not that he minded of course he’d purposely avoided forcing his own interests onto his children so they could follow their own path. Up until this point, neither Jason or Shaun had shown much particular interest in art, not like Ethan. “Do you think…” Jason paused, then spoke a bit louder, “Do you think you could teach me how to draw them?”Įthan perks up at that. I think they’re my favourite animal.”Įthan hummed in agreement. While Ethan and Jason lagged behind a bit, Ethan tapped him on the shoulder. Come on, let's get back to the car and stop disturbing this poor sleeping neighbourhood,” She demanded, taking Shaun’s hand and setting off at a brisk pace. “You three are just as bad as each other. Grace rolled her eyes and sighed at them. “Not as good as yours, champ,” Ethan smirked and ruffled his hair. “That was… surprisingly really good,” Jason said, while nodding his head respectfully. “How was that?” He asked Shaun stared at him like he’d just won a medal, while Jason smiled brightly. Ethan always caved rather quickly when it came to amusing his sons. “Yeah Dad, join in!” Jason encourages, and Ethan looks sheepishly at Grace who just raises an eyebrow at him, before he summons the energy to cup his own hands around his mouth and lets out the loudest, longest, most wolf-like howl he possibly could. “Come on Dad!” Shaun says, running up to Ethan and pulling on his arm. “Will you two quiet down!? You’re gonna wake the whole neighbourhood making that racket,” scolds Grace, but her sons are hardly deterred. Ethan smirks as Jason joins in, and the kids start running around again while howling at the moon and giggling. Then, Shaun cups his hands around his mouth and howls, imitating the wolves they’d seen in the zoo earlier that day. “I bet the wolves back at the zoo are howling at it,” Jason says. Ethan follows his son’s gaze to the dark, purplish sky, where a cloud is melted away by the white light of the moon. Then Shaun stops and points up at the sky. “Not yet,” Grace laughed, watching her sons run in circles. ![]() Hopefully this day trip will have tired the kids out so we can all have a relaxing day tomorrow,” he replied, and then as if on cue, Jason and Shaun came running between them, chasing eachother and giggling loudly.
